Following DNA testing, police in Ohio have confirmed that the skeletal remains found in a box in a Toledo garage last week are those of a toddler missing since June.
DNA test results were released on Tuesday, confirming that the remains are of 19-month-old Elaina Steinfurth. She was last seen on the same property where the remains were found about three months ago.
The home and garage where her remains were found belong to the family of a man that had been dating Elaina's mother. Police had searched the property several times, but have not revealed what exactly led them to the garage last week.
