Tony Yahle of West Carrollton, Ohio, died on August 5 of mysterious causes and miraculously came back to life 45 minutes later.
Yahle, 37, a diesel mechanic with no prior health issues, was asleep at home when around 4 a.m. his wife Melissa noticed that his breathing sounded funny. He was rushed to the hospital where doctors attempted to stabilize his faltering heart, however it stopped beating for about 45 minutes. Just when his family was about to view his body, his heart monitor starting registering an irregular heartbeat once again.
Yahle's 17-year-old son Lawrence came running into the room upon learning of his father's death and witnessed the moment when his father came back to life. Lawrence recalls:
"I pointed at him and I said 'Dad, you're not going to die today. I stood there for a few more seconds. I was about to walk back to comfort the family. It went from hopeless to hope in an instant."
